How BLM keeps the canonical location record
Asmit Choudhary · 2026-09-16 · 9 min read
The record the desk treats as master
BLM asks a person to approve one canonical name, address, and phone per location. Google, Apple, Bing, MapQuest, and the directory network are scored against that record. A publisher console does not silently become the master.
The same approval covers which near-match survives and when a holiday window or temporary closure should publish. Automation fingerprints publishers and refreshes coverage.
Follow the workflow page for the order: create a workspace, import locations, approve NAP, run the first publisher audit, then work duplicates and hours.
Where this stops
BLM does not replace the publisher help centers. Confirm the live publisher rules before you file a change. The product is listing management software, not a full local SEO suite.
Listed prices and plan ceilings are on the pricing page. Billing is not live yet.
